Sneak Peek - Texas Library Association in Austin - April 12-15th 2011

I have been getting emails to renew my TLA membership and because I have been a little lazy busy, I haven't paid attention. Well today they sent me a letter and because I like to at least go a little 'green,' I went online and renewed. Because I am nosy, pushy, inquisitive, curious, etc.... I poked around the website and found the schedule! Why do you care? You care because the authors that are on panel discussions *usually* SIGN their books. So....here is an early list, BUT if it's online, it's gold. The only person I know for sure that will be attending is Sophie Jordan, author of Firelight.

*NOTE: there is no signing schedule yet and not all authors who sign are on a panel and not all authors on a panel sign books*

Daniel Handler

David Levithan

Awesome...right?!? I'll be there! I am volunteering in the signing area for a few hours. I hope you all can come too!

It cost $20 to have an exhibit pass. The exhibit hall is where 90% of all the signings are. A few authors sign upstairs after their panel discussion. (Jeff Kinney did it last year, but Suzanne Collins came downstairs) Jamie Lee Curtis and Greg Mortenson (Three Cups of Tea) are the general session speakers. If you want to see them, you need a conference pass.
