The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life.

Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seems like the best option, so she’s headed back to California - and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.

As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.

Clara tried to have a normal life at Stanford, but the three Triplare's - Claire, Christian, and Angela - have visions that all tie together and that eventually bring them to the fight of their life - in a not so cheery place. There are more Black Wings than you can shake a stick at, and poor Claire basically has to fend for herself. The final installment has Christian and Clara on the run from the most dangerous fallen angels and this time they are wielding weapons. Blood is shed and hearts are broken - a lot hearts, and even lives are lost.

The tension between Claire, Tucker, and Christian are at an all-time high. This, I loved! I didn't want Clair to have it all so easy - two boys who are head over heels for her. Christian is her strength, her best friend, and they have heavenly ties unlike any other. But, Tucker is her love and life. I was pleased to see that she goes back and forth in her feelings about the two often. Sometimes, love is not so black and white. Claire is a young girl and I was happy she weighed every single decision carefully and often. Nope, I won't tell you where her heart settles, but settles it does. #sniffles

I missed Angela in book two and was happy that she was front and center in the final book. Whew, does she have a giant role! Honestly, anything I try to say will yield major spoilers. Let's just say she introduces us to new characters that would make for a great spin-off series! I wonder if anyone else has thought this...

Fans won't be disappointed with the romance, the mystery behind the visions and their ties with future, and one hellish destination.
