Goodreads 2010 Good Choice Awards

I always like to post "best of" lists. It is an opportunity to learn of new titles that might have passed you by, and it also reminds us readers of current trends. There were many Good Choice Award categories and I will not cover them all. I encourage you to browse every one even if it doesn't appear to be your thing. One of my resolutions was to branch out my reading. Goodreads is a great place to get some ideas of books you might enjoy.

I was thrilled to see Mockingjay win more than one category. The much anticipated novel also won for Best Heroine and Best Hero! So fantastic to see YA have a firm place in literature!

Happy Reading!

  1. Yaaay! Go, Mockingjay. I was admittedly not a fan of the way that the book ended, but I feel like way too many people have been down on the whole series just because they were unsatisfied with the resolution. I will stand by my position that Suzanne Collins (and Katniss!) has converted thousands and thousands of reluctant readers into book lovers. Mockingjay deserves all of the praise that it gets and more!

  2. Thanks for posting this, i hadn't seen this list before. Yay for Mockingjay, i fell totally in love with that series.
Not a huge fan of Torment but have to admit i love the covers, they are beautiful.

  3. I love "Best of" lists too. Thank for pointing this one out to me.
