The Book Blogger Hop (18)

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly event hosted by Jennifer at Crazy for Books and runs from Friday to Sunday.

The Hop is a fantastic way to get your blog noticed, and visit some other blogs that you didn't know about before. Head over and sign up and see what you can find!

Each week a different question will be added to the hop in order for conversations to occur, and for your followers to get to know you better. Here we go!

"If I gave you or $80 and sent you into a bookshop right
now, what would be in your basket when you
finally staggered to the till?"

Lol, my mother say till! Anyway, I would definitely spend the loot on books for TLA (Texas Library Association). The three day conference is exactly one month away and here in Austin, TX. There will be 10,000+ librarians and book lovers, and 1,000 teens all talking books. Tons of authors come and sign and giveaway ARCs. I went last year and spent $71 and brought home about 125 books. So, the $80 would go towards books for authors to sign. I've bought a few already... If you are in TX, you should come. You don't have to be a librarian. ;)

Follow Friday is hosted by the lovely Rachel at Parajunkee's View. Here is her question:

"Who are you the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?"

That is a really strange way to ask, but I get the question. Besides being a blogger, who am I?

Wife of 1
Mother of 2

Chronic volunteer
Avid reader

  3. Just hopping by to wish you a happy FF!! I'm a new follower. I love finding librarians to follow through these posts! (I'm in library school)

I'm more than a little jealous of the loot you can get at TLA. I wonder if MLA (Missouri) is similar. I was considering attending this year but not in the cards. Maybe next!

  6. TLA sounds like a ton of fun! I don't think anything like that even exists in my state. And great answers, so many people around me are also cupcakers, I only wish I knew how to bake.

  7. Wow! What a great question this week. I always peek at other people's book piles at the checkout link at B&N. That doesn't make me a voyeur, does it?

The exhibitionist in me has posted my own bookstore shopping list -- and it's not as predictable as you may think!

  8. I want to go to it so bad (darn living 4 or 5 hours away), but not having a car kinda puts a stop to it. It's also right around my birthday so that would have made an awesome b-day.

Anyways, just stopping by hope you have a good weekend!

  9. Hopping through. Unfortunately, I think it's tough being a librarian in every state.
