Pandemonium (Delirium #2) by Lauren Oliver
March 6th, 2012 by Harper Teen
Pandemonium continues Lena’s gripping story. After escaping from Portland, Maine, Lena makes it to the Wilds and becomes part of an Invalid community, where she transforms herself into a warrior for the resistance. A future without Alex is unimaginable, but Lena pushes forward and fights, both for him and for a world in which love is no longer considered a disease. Swept up in a volatile mix of revolutionaries and counterinsurgents, Lena struggles to survive—and wonders if she may be falling in love again.
Full of danger, forbidden romance, and exquisite writing, Lauren Oliver’s sequel to Delirium races forward at a breathtaking pace and is sure to appeal to fans who crave the high-stakes action of The Hunger Games and the bittersweet love story of Romeo & Juliet.
WOWZERS! I think this cover art is really different from Delirium #1, but I still love it. The fall colors and tones just do it for me. Such a contrast from that aqua blue from Delirium #1.
Update:
Looks like we need to buy Delirium #2 so they match....thx Sandy for the reference to the version below. Somehow, that went right over my head.

Thank you for sharing! :D You're not complaining but I am lool :D I have bought the first book and I totally loved Delirium, but now I'm really angry because the covers won't match. So either I have to buy another copy of Delirium (as if books weren't shockingly expensive enough) or I have to have covers that don't match which I hate. It was the same thing with Nightshade and the 6th book of Vampire Academy (for the UK edition). Publishers if you read me I HATE that. I'm seriously thinking in not buying a book if the whole serie hasn't been released yet.
ReplyDeletei loved the blue + silver for Delirium.. so this might be a miss for me :p However, I really love the colors in this one, thanks so much for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI actually really like this cover! But I understand that people are gonna be annoyed that the covers in the series won't match.
ReplyDeleteIt is very different from the original Delirium cover but it actually goes very well with the new cover. I guess you haven't seen it yet (its really pretty as well).

Thanks for sharing the cover for the sequel!
Sandy
Yes, I was referring to original D cover. I will have to buy the new version of D and then Pandemonium. Hook, line, and sinker! Lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments.

That's a pretty cover, but I agree it doesn't look much like Delirium. I wouldn't have guessed that it went with series at all. I wonder if that means the story will be just as different... :)
ReplyDeleteThe Pandemonium cover is gorgeous but I really, really hate it when they switch the cover designs midway through a series.
ReplyDeleteI haven't bought Delirium yet (was going to get the e-book cause I did not like the original cover) so I will luckily not have to buy it twice xD.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like the fall colors too, this saddens me. I wish it match Delirium's first cover, the plain blue. Plus I am not a fan of faces on covers.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI like the cover for Pandemonium, although I did like the original for Delirium. I was not a hugh fan of Delirium, however, Pandemonium does sound good. I might have to give the second installment a read. :0)
ReplyDeleteI won't rebuy. Too many good books out there I don't own. I don't get how the new Delerium design says anything more than the turquoise cover. They could used the fall color in a similar fashion. It seems that these book covers are getting a little copy catty.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cover! I still have yet to read Delirium. :P
ReplyDeletesomeone knew if alex died??? because ...well it seems someone died here in my house i can't stop crying LOL plese does he die??? he doesn't ????
ReplyDeletethis book sucks. i think oliver is a very amatuer writer
ReplyDeleteHer book makes very good toilet paper. She needs to get a life. Plus, she looks like a troll/witch.
ReplyDeleteI think this book is very slow and monotonous, with no plot. No chararcters. No personality. And I feel like I've heard her stories before. I like story books for children better
ReplyDeleteNEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
